"Legalize Cachaca" on Sunset Boulevard (Free Drinks)

Let's start by making one thing clear - cachaca is legal.  However, in a nutshell, the makers of the sugar cane spirit are fighting for their own "D.O.M." which would decree that "cachaca" can only be made in Brazil and that it will no longer be referred to simply as "Brazilian rum."

If you want to learn in more detail what makes cachaca unique, and if you like Caipirinhas, enjoy a good samba, are a fan of "the beautiful game" otherwise known as soccer - or just plain love free drinks - mark your calendar for Friday, September 18 and hustle over to Sunset Boulevard (Los Angeles) and march to support Brazilian culture, otherwise known as CACHACA!  Until now, cachaca, a Brazilian sugar cane spirit, has often been referred to as "Brazilian rum."  It is fighting for its own identity and "D.O.M" and YOU can help.

The boozy parade starts at Asia De Cuba at the Mondrian Hotel 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. (844 W. Sunset Blvd.) and continues to Ketchup 6:30-7:30 p.m. (8590 W. Sunset Blvd) and then Red Rock 7:30 p.m. (8782 W. Sunset Blvd.), with complimentary caipirinhas offered at each stop
