A hearty thank you to Boa Sunset, the host of the third mixer of The Liquid Muse Cocktail Club! It is amazing to see the Cocktail Club grow so quickly, from a handful of attendees at our first meet up at Ma’Kai sponsored by Cruzan Rum, to double that at the Viceroy sponsored by Kai vodka – to 25+ guests at Boa Sunset with a waiting list of more than a dozen people. This only proves how much Los Angeles is growing as a cocktail town!
To that end, there are also many more quality cocktails to be had at venues all around L.A., these days. Boa 
Sunset’s Bar Manager Josh Renfree (who was a recent feature on The Bartender Diaries) dazzled us with two of his signature drinks at our cocktail club party: The Summer Thyme made with gin, rhubarb puree, strawberries, fresh lemon and thyme, and his version of a Manhattan which Renfree gives a modern tweak by way of tea and a luxurious Luxardo cherry garnish. (You just have to try it for yourself – it’s an amazing Fall cocktail.)
Boa Sunset’s kitchen also spoiled us with delectable appetizers such as the Shrimp and Feta Pizzetta topped with leeks and radicchio; Prime Beef Sliders with blue cheese and arugula; and Goat Cheese Baklava stuffed with pistachios and black truffles. Our cocktail party took place in Boa’s private party room, which is tucked into a cozy corner off the bar, and opens onto the 4000 square foot see-and-be-seen patio where celebrity spotting is a regular occurrence. (In fact, Courtney Cox & David Arquette as well as Anthony Bourdain were dining at Boa the night we had our cocktail club mixer!)
Boa’s private party room also features an amazing display of vintage spirits bottles, some dating back decades. Great for 
holiday parties, birthdays and business events, the bottle collection is an added bonus for lovers of spirits and cocktails.
