Natalie Bovis

Since founding The Liquid Muse in 2006, Natalie has been a leader in the beverage industry, fostering relationships between emerging markets and liquor brands through events, teaching, writing books, and media appearances around the United States. She has judged bar competitions from Finland to New Zealand.

Natalie’s entrepreneurial endeavors draw from her background in project management, public relations, marketing, product development, and customized private, trade, and corporate events. She is also a SAG/AFTRA actor who is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

EVENT PRODUCTION

Natalie has produced fashion shows and movie premiere parties in Los Angeles, parties and events for restaurant PR clients in Washington DC, Spirited Dinners for various brands at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, and she currently serves as a culinary producer for the James Beard Foundation’s “Taste America” national dinner series which features fundraising events with award-winning chefs in 20 cities across the United States. She has created brand-immersion trade trips around the US for liquor brands, plus vacation retreats for the public. Foodies and cocktailians flock to her annual Cocktails & Culture Festival in Santa Fe and its popular opening party TACO WARS is expanding to cities around the country.

INNOVATION

Natalie pioneered bartender yoga events at Tales of the Cocktail in 2014 which influenced industry wellness initiatives. Her devotion to sustainability has been demonstrated since she toured the U.S. teaching organic cocktail classes with Method in 2008. She later co-founded OM Organic Mixology Liqueurs with CEO, Jason Monkarsh which has won multiple medals in spirits competitions, including two FABI Innovation awards at the National Restaurant Association’s annual tradeshow in Chicago and Entrepreneurs of the Year at the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America tradeshow in Las Vegas. Natalie develops new business opportunities through marketing campaigns; community outreach; trade, promotional and educational events. She continues to consult for other products and brands.

WRITING

In addition to being a best-selling author of 5 cocktail books, and an upcoming book called Cat Gods, Goddesses, Deities, and Demons (2025), Natalie writes for travel and lifestyle magazines such as Fodor’s Travel Guide, National Geographic, Where Magazine, Modern Luxury (Capitol File), Everyday with Rachel Ray, Organic Gardening, the Georgetowner, DailyCandy.com, New Mexico Magazine, Edible NM Magazine, Trend, and many more.

MEDIA APPEARANCES

Natalie has shaken cocktails on dozens of morning TV shows around the United States while a national spokesperson for Fre Alcohol-Removed Wine. She has also been a guest on E! Entertainment’s That Morning Show; Nickelodeon’s Mom Show pilot; Martha Stewart Radio; Mike Colemeco’s radio show, and was a recurring guest on The Tasting Room with Tom Leykis. She has also appeared on A Moveable Feast; Diners, Drive Ins and Dives; was featured in the True Treps Entrepreneurs; hosted cocktail videos and podcasts, and served as a Brand Ambassador for several liquor brands. She and her books have been featured in People Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine, USA Today, TheKnot.com, and more.

VOLUNTEERISM

Natalie served as Vice President of the New Mexico chapter United States Bar Union for six years. She has been an active volunteer, donor/fundraiser for the Santa Fe and Espanola Animal Shelters in New Mexico, and was President of the Board for Pro Gat i Gos Animal Rescue in Spain. She served on the boards of the Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington DC, the Blogger Prom media gala in Los Angeles, and on the Santa Fe Restaurant Association. She has been on fundraising committees for Animal Protection of New Mexico and Cooking With Kids.

MIXOLOGY TRAINING SERVICES

Natalie has taught mixology seminars internationally including: Bols Bartending Academy (Amsterdam); Portland Cocktail Week; Arizona Cocktail Week; Manhattan Cocktail Classic; Wine & Spirits Wholesalers Association show in Las Vegas; and Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans. The Liquid Muse signature cocktails have been paired with celebrated chefs in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Washington DC, Aspen, New Orleans and Santa Fe. They were even featured at Barack Obama’s Green Inaugural Ball in 2008.
