The Modern Mixologist: Contemporary Classic Cocktails

[field name=iframe]

All I can say is, “Its about time!” Tony Abou Ganim (aka: The Modern Mixologist) has released his first cocktail book. I know – it seems like he’d already have slew of books under his belt as he has already had his own TV show and inspires mixologists all over the world!

Tony has developed the cocktail programs of numerous restaurants around the country, most notably the Starlight Lounge in San Francisco and the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. He also develops cocktail programs for cruise lines and has appeared on Iron Chef America.

I have a particular soft spot for Tony as I consider him my first mixology mentor. His kindness, guidance and gentlemanly demeanor will make the least imbibably-inclined swoon…and if you have the faintest inclination toward a good drink, Tony will ignite your passion for mixology. At least, that’s what happened to me.

Tony wrote this book in conjunction with Elizabeth Faulkner, and it includes a forward by Mario Batali. It features 60 drink recipes as well as useful tips for the professional and home bartender. James Beard award winning photographer Tim Turner brings the drinks to life.

If you’re into cocktails, this book is a must-have, and it was a long time coming!  (Tony is doing a book tour, check his site to see when he will be near you.)
