The new store on Melrose Avenue is the brick-and-mortar embodiment of Bernheimer’s website Domaine547.com which includes online shopping, a discussion forum and a newsletter.

With a focus on small production and artisan wines, both foreign and domestic, Bernheimer has personally tasted every one of the 450-or so brands she carries, featuring a range of varietals and prices. Additionally, the store has a “living room” where customers can thumb-through wine books and browse wine websites via a designated computer kiosk, further expanding their knowledge base for selecting the perfect bottle.

The store works in tandem with its sister-website by way of “will call” for online orders. With its proximity to Pizzeria Mozza and other nearby eateries, picking up a quality food and wine pairing on the way home from work will render foodies’ lives all the more convenient – a happy state in which we’d all like to dwell.
