Embassy Cocktail, created circa 1930 in Hollywood at the Embassy Club speakeasy

This is a fun little drink I decided to play around with tonight.  The recipe calls for:

1 ounce cognac

1 ounce light rum

1 ounce orange liqueur

a dash of limejuice 

a dash of bitters

Shake, strain.  Serve with a lime or lemon twist.  

My version ups the cognac 1 1/2 ounces (I used a XO Delamain), I chose Depaz Blue Cane Rhum Agricole for the rum, Cointreau Noir as my orange liqueur and a half-ounce of limejuice.  I also sugar-rimmed half the glass.  I love it and wiill enjoy it often.  You should too...
