Ruffle Your Wings at Halo

Inside every angel is a little devil just waiting to be unleashed!  Sexy yourself up and soar beyond the clouds of hum-drum hangouts and get your groove on at Halo, one of L.A.’s most sinfully fun new dance spots.

The SEG group, which has also brought White Lotus, Green Door and the legendary Sunset Room to Hollywood, recently opened doors to Halo.  The black-and-white décor is smart and crisp, and the crystal chandeliers and bubble glass lighting fixtures add a touch of class.  Celebrities have already descended upon the heavenly retreat.  (Prince himself has already been in twice!)

While the drinks are of the usual nightclub variety (ie: no high-end mixology), Halo is touted more for its bustling dance scene and fantastic DJ’s, such as house DJ StoneRokk whose mix of hip-hop, top 40 and house music even got me on the floor last Thursday night, after a long day of work.

Live music is sometimes on the menu, and the V.I.P. room has one-way mirrors where special guests can mingle in privacy, while still indulging their voyeuristic desires to keep an eye on the pulsating, sweaty, dance floor below.  (What fun would Heaven be without the occasional toe-dipping into the fiery pit of temptation?)  After all, isn’t the corruption of little angels what Hollywood is built upon?

(VIP reservations strongly recommended.)
