There are many ways to warm up… from the outside, in with a warm jacket. Or from the inside, out with a warm drink! Toddies made with hot water or tea, and coffee drinks become more popular in cold months. Making a nice coffee drink, for example, is more than throwing cheap booze and what the French call "sock water" American diner coffee into a cup. The coffee industry - much like the liquor industry - has gone through revolutionary growth and consumer awareness. Consumers seek out "baristas" to carefully craft a soothing, artful cup of coffee and visit bars where "mixologists" mix up a classic or creative cocktails with quality ingredients. The alcohol-laced coffee drink brings these two worlds together in one cup. When making these toasty concoctions at home, follow the same rules as cooking: choose high-quality base ingredients. Here are some yummy toddies, mochas and coffee drinks to help you shake off the chill.Recipes are meant for sharing, but please credit accordingly if you do so.
