Get locked…and loaded at The Arsenal, a legendary watering hole. We all love ourselves a good story, and this Westside haunt tells a tale. Patrons have been sipping the strong stuff here since the 1870s—as a bar and then a speakeasy—and no flood or fire (yes, they’ve had both) has kept the locals from stopping in ever since.
Happy Hour is Monday-Friday 5-7 and Saturday 6-8. The selection is simple, the bartender is warm and welcoming, and that’s just how we like it. All beers are $3, well drinks and wines by the glass $4, and the piece de resistance, mojitos and margaritas made with fresh squeezed juices are deliciously refreshing at $5-6 each!
Bar bites are classic and sharable—a huge bucket of fries seasoned with yummy herbs for only $2 and the savory sliders (chicken or beef) keeps mouths happy with gourmet combos like bacon/cheddar or avocado/Swiss; a hot plate of 3 for $5. Swing by on a Tuesday from 7-10 and get a taste of “Tiny Tuesdays”—all sliders are just $1 each and the perfect burger beer, Tecate, is $3.
We recommend taking a stroll around the back room—walls hung with antique artillery and photos from days gone by tell quite a story—and we all know that history is always more fun when you have a full stomach with a cold beer in hand!
