Smokey Chimney Toddy

In some parts of the world, it is CHILLY right now!  In other parts, its sunny and warm but a cold or flu can strike any time of the year.  For those of you in the cold, and those of us coming down with one, here is a nice little toddy to warm from the inside out!*Make this drink nonalcoholic by leaving out the scotch, and doubling the amount of apple & ginger juice. • 2 ounces Wemyss Peat Chimney scotch (or another peaty scotch you may like - I like this one!)
  • 1 med sized organic apple
  • 1" piece of fresh ginger, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon organic local honey (tip: local honey helps ward off tinnitus allergies in your area!)
  • 1 cup boiling water

Pour scotch into big mug. Add honey and water. Stir until dissolved. Juice the apple and ginger yourself, if possible. Add to mixture. Stir. Sip.I am keeping this one on my winter-long, home-bar menu!
