Santa Fe Sip: Talulah's New Location Grand Opening

Coming back to my hometown Santa Fe, after living many years in Los Angeles, has its ups and downs. Up: “traffic” is practically nonexistent here. Down: so is shopping. Living in a town with no Banana Republic, no BCBG, no Anthropologie - no H&M for chrissakes - makes picking up a cute-yet-affordable little number for a special event quite challenging. Downtown tourist traps are expensive, and given the overwhelming “senior” population, most styles are not sexy-yet-sophisticated.Thank goodness for Talulah!!The 40’s style pin up fashion has come back in a big way, and Talulah is right in step with that trend. The dresses are figure flattering yet traffic-stopping. They are feminine and fun but without being teeny-bopper-ish.  I have worn Talulah’s dresses at cocktail events this year in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Portland and even Cognac, France, and I always get compliments on them. Talulah recently left its downtown location (crazy rent) and relocated to DeVargas Mall (hello, free parking) and threw a Grand Opening fashion show party.  I created a signature cocktail for the occasion called The Talulah Tease, which was served throughout the evening.  I’m sharing the recipe here so you can make it at home and raise a glass to looking great over the holidays!
