When cocktail time comes along, you may feel inspired to sing a riff. A little ditty dedicated to that time of day that’s as easy as the bee’s knees, as hip as the elephant’s instep, and as playful as the cat who swallowed the canary. Hungry Cat’s Happy Hour will have you chirping about the drinks and buzzing about the buzz.Monday-Friday from 3-6pm the Cat knows where it’s at. Cocktails off their current list and draft beer are all 50% off. Enjoy something seasonal and fun like an Aviation (Aviation Gin, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur and fresh lemon juice) or a “Kumquatini” (muddled kumquats, Egorushka Vodka and fresh grapefruit juice). For something a little more old school like an old cousin of the Moscow Mule—the Dark and Stormy: Gosling’s Black Seal Rum is shaken with fresh lime juice and fizzed out with Bundaberg Ginger Beer. If you’re craving something with a bit more bubble, try a Scrimshaw Pilsner or Winter Ale off the tap. If you desire magic in a bottle or a can, Levitation Ale as well as everyone’s favorite go-to-brew, Pabst Blue Ribbon, are available for $5-7 off the regular menu. The Happy Hour is for sipping, not snacking, but if you fancy a feast dig into some Clams and Crab from their extensive Raw Bar menu, nibble on some ounces of Caviar, chow down on some gourmet salad, and start singing. Nothing makes a cat purr like a little Oyster aphrodisiac and a good old-fashioned Aviation buzz.*Photo borrowed from Flickr
