2024 Festival poster
This event ticket also includes one Cocktails & Culture Festival poster per ticketed guest. (must be present to collect it)
This year, the festival's featured artist is Deni Javas, and we are featuring her piece Playing with Fire in anticipation of the 100th anniversary of Zozobra.
The ORIGINAL painting will be available for purchase at the event.
Meet the artist
Currently provoked by the growing threat of forest fires, the issues Deni Javas considers speak of intangible losses. Like those of connection and love of the land, one’s interaction and culture inherently entwined with it. The work illustrates the intensity and recurrent threat to the places suffering from extreme fire events. In April-May of this year, she took part in an artist's residency at the foothills of the Himalayas in Northern India. There she documented the effects of the current forest fires and the fragility of the environment's biodiversity. She lives in Santa Fe.
